Anushka’s personal life
With a height of 5 feet 7 inches, Anushka weighs around 53 kilos and is said to be a sensitive person at heart. Anushka’s original name is Mahalakshmi and pursued her school studies in Bangalore. Born on November 7th of the year 1981, Anushka was born in Mangalore which is in Karnataka State of India. Called as Sweety Shetty in her house, Anushka is well pampered in her house by her parents.
Anushka grew up speaking Tulu language and later on learned Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language. She can speak and write English, but cannot do the same for her other languages. She can only speak a few words in Tamil and Telugu and that too she needs prompting.
After completing her bachelor of computer applications degree from Mount Caramelcollege of Bangalore. Anushka got vexed with the software industry due to some personnel reason and so decided to take on the fitness industry as her profession. She learnt the basics of Yoga under the famous Yoga Guru Bharath Thakur and then later on finished her detailed course in Yoga. Later on the Yogini decided to starts her own yoga instructing classes and then became a Yoga Instructor.
She then started her Yoga instruction classes for small children and now makes it her hobby by doing so. After becoming an actress, Anushka was paid 20, 40 lakhs as remuneration. But now her remuneration has touched the remuneration mark of Rs 1 crore with her latest Telugu movie BILLA.
Anushka loves to spend her time with her parents when she is free from shooting schedules and since is the only daughter in her house, she is pampered a lot. Her father is a business man and she has 2 elder’s brothers. Her first brother is a Post Graduate in dentistry and her second brother is a well settled businessman. She was born in Bellipady family which is a sect of Iyer’s in Mangalore and is highly respected family in Mangalore.
Anushka loves Non -Veg food and likes to prepare Sea Food like prawn curries and fish fry salads. She has a habit of collecting news articles of Natural Disasters and Calamites happening in the world.
She adores Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Junior NTR, Mahesh Babu and also likes Kajol, Julia Roberts, Late Soundarya, Simran and Jyothika.
Anushka’s film career
In the year 2005, Anushka was discovered by Telugu director Puri Jagannath and was roped into the movie SUPER which had Nagarjuna in the lead. She played the character of Sasha in this movie. The movie was a musical hit and the movie collected a fair amount at the box office.
In the same year 2005, “Mahanandhi” was her next movie which had Sumanth as a hero in this movie. The movie was a below average hit, but Anushka was praised for her acting skills and skin show.
The year 2006, brought Anushka the best of her film career. She was featured in the movie Vikramarkudu which also had Ravi Teja as a hero. Anushka played the role of Neeraja Goswami and she mustered a lot of praise from the mass crowds. Her skin show, her flattering dialogue delivery and her romantic scenes with her hero were a huge hit among the mass audience.
In the year 2006, Anushka Shetty made her debut in Tamil film industry with the movie RENDU opposite to Madhavan. The movie was a hit and the movie was later on dubbed into Telugu.
In the year 2007, Anushka was seen in the movie Lakshyam and Don and the movies were super hits.
The year of 2008 started for Anushka with the movies Okka Mogadu, Swagatham,Baladoor, Chintakayala Ravi and Arundati. Keeping aside the performance of the movies at the box office, Anushka gathered quite a good fame and respect in the industry and is praised for her acting, dancing and expressive skills. More over the movies of her bank on her skin show and make some bucks out of with the mass audiences.
